As an initiative to drive growth and development, Material ConneXion incubated a Product Innovation & Consulting team called ThinkLAB- a diverse group of business strategists, material experts, marketing & designers. As the Design Strategist within this team, I have worked across a range of projects in Baby Care, Banking, Pet Food, Apparel, Consumer Electronics, Mattresses and Packaging.
My work involves:
- Concept development for new product opportunities
- Working with material scientists to execute viable and manufacturable solutions for clients
- Using design research and creative tools and methods to drive Product innovation
- Create proposals and collateral for business development

Nice Shoes
Sep 2010 - Mar 2012 (1 year 6 months)
> 3 months spent to conceptualize 70 concepts which were narrowed down to final 10 and then to 5 strong business start up ventures for Nice Shoes. One out of final five was designed, built along with business development for angel investors.
> Conducted user research and interviews, organized brainstorming sessions and consolidated research and information into easily understandable documents.
> Redesigned and rebranded along with a team of designers and developers, an existing online media sharing application originally designed for the world of advertising and post-production, to make it more user friendly and accessible to varied users.
> Lead a digital marketing campaign for Nice Shoes. An online social media game that involved designing the interface and scope of the project from idea to production.

> Selected as one of the design fellows from 300 plus applicants to be a part of an innovation lab.
> Collaborated with people from varied backgrounds such as marketing, business development, R&D etc., to solve a business/product development question presented to us by PepsiCo.
> Mentored by Continuum and by using design thinking skills we came up with revolutionary concepts for the future of Pepsi which were presented to the CEO and the top decision makers of PepsiCo.

Designed and executed residential and corporate interior spaces. The projects involved designing, creating drawings, managing and being responsible for handling various contractors, electrical consultants, AC consultants, civil contractors, carpenters, all the way through project completion.
