Elmhurst Dairy Rebrand (Personal Project)
Elmhurst Dairy is New York City’s only dairy facility, located in Jamaica, NY on a 15-acre processing plant. The dairy produces over 1.5 million gallons of milk per week and, because it does not have warehouse space on the property, gets the finished product out and onto store shelves within 48 hours, producing what the plant considers “the freshest milk in the City.”
This fun and friendly approach speaks to the brand’s New York City roots. Bursts of color on the packaging quickly catch the eye and allow the customer to more readily identify the fat content.
Stackable packaging was designed with the city-dweller in mind: sleek, architectural, and space-conscious. The almost-uniform crown and base allow the HDPE bottles to stack seamlessly within the secondary packaging. This allows for more security, more available space, and less leakage due to damaged cartons.
