I started my career at the age of 14 when I was hired as an Assistant Dress Designer for a couture bridal salon. I walked in after months of being pressed against their display windows and finally asked the designer for a job. I proved my sewing skills through a test and earned my position as her Assistant Designer. My work consisted of hand beading and embroidered details, creating and designing the ring pillows for retail, working all aspects of the fashion shows, and helping in the design and constructions process for the couture wedding gowns, ring pillows and head pieces. From this point on I knew design was what I wanted to do and have spent my life learning and working with all aspects of the design process. Over the last 10 years, my passion has been being outdoors and raising my family in a sustainable lifestyle. Being in nature is a way for me to reconnect, relax and explore. I spend much of my time foraging, kayak fishing, kayak crabbing and learning about the plants that surround me and how they can be used to elevate our life. Learning about sustainability way of life for me. I hope to combine my love for the outdoors, my experience in the design world, and my passion for sustainability together in the athletic and outdoor industry.
