This image is inspired by the book "The Wild Robot". First arranged and taken with my camera, the photo was modified, filtered and detailed both Photoshop and Illustrator...(hint - the robot doesn't glow and the tree had no missing bark!)

As my second interpretation of "return to nature" I had the funny idea of tree aliens abducting humans to bring them back to their nature planet. I wanted to make sure it was done in a "cartoony" way to showcase the humor of it all

My 3rd concept was throwing it back to old school video games - Using pics of steel bars and rivets, I constructed the lettering piece by piece in Photoshop. Then bringing it into Illustrator, I digitally painted the natural details all the way down to the grass.
