I completed my PhD from the IDC, School of Design at IIT Bombay, India. My thesis is on investigating collaborative structures for Indian middle school children to enhance divergent thinking. I have a strong interest in research for design education especially for young children and developing creative ideation tools for design thinking.
Prior to joining the PhD program I graduated in Information Design from NID, Ahmadabad, India and I have worked as an Assistant Manager at Mexus Education, Mumbai, where I was the creative head for the pre-primary learning aids. We developed tangible audio books under the name IKEN Zing to promote early reading and also board games for older children to learn body systems and geography. I am passionate about designing learning aids for children using multiple platforms. I am very inclined towards learning the curriculum through games and gamification of learning material.
Currently, I am a Post Doctoral visiting fellow at the prestigious Homi Bhabha Centre for Science Education, TIFR. Here, my work involves research on design education at school level education, teacher training, designing teaching-learning aids and mentoring students.
