Knowledge: Logo Design, Poster design, Business Cards, Labels, Photo Editing, Vectorizing, Assembly drawings, Isometric technical illustrations, and Comic Coloring
I’ve completed 3 years of drafting training in traditional hand drawing, and the use of AutoCAD in disciplines such as mechanical, architectural, topographic maps, and civil engineering. Later
received an AS degree in Graphic Design. Throughout the years I have taken on many freelance jobs in logo creation, photography, image editing, comic book art coloring. I’ve also worked at companies producing reprographics, printing of small and large format
material, field repair of laminators, laminating and other bindery or finishing, and image editing for the largest sports merchandise company.
Immediately after college I obtained a position similar to my current one for Northrop Grumman. I was hired immediately as a Technical Illustrator, later to be a Lead illustrator for LSI (Cecil
Field). With a milestone of 5 years, I edited, created, maintained wiring diagrams, Remove and Install illustrations for the P-3 aircraft, and produced graphics for AH-64 Apache Longbow courseware to be used by the Army Aviation Training Group.
I started at Northrop Grumman in a contract position illustrating components and systems for the E-2D Advanced Hawkeye (AHE) Aircraft and became one of the only employees to be offered a permanent
position within the Tech Pubs Support Department in the shortest amount of time (6 months). An offer given to me after hitting the ground running and impressing many Tech Writers with speed, quality, pride in work and dedication to the work, team, department
and the customer. I immediately displayed the thirst and drive to become a part of the team, and the goal of being one of the best and prove my skills.
Soon after obtaining a permanent roll, I was placed as the point of contact for Standardized Illustrations, accepted stretch projects, and soon offered a temporary Lead position. As a Lead Technical
Illustrator 3, I was involved with mentoring and training employees from in-house illustrators to tech writers, QA and other illustrators from different NG sites. I continue to train and help anyone in the department or company who needs assistance while maintaining
my own workload at an optimum level. I report to the Tech Pubs Support Department Manager in my duties and responsibilities where I continue to be a strong role in the support department and follows processes, guidelines and upholds to the values and goals
of the company.
