A current student at Pasadena Art Center College of Design’s Environmental Design program, Alvin Oei is an illustrative story teller who conveys compelling narratives through designs which are expressed through his love for art and illustration. Alvin is often described by his clients as organized, passionate, and self-driven as an individual constantly inspired by pushing his imagination.
Prior to Art Center, Alvin worked for the last 7 years both as a designer for Randall-Baylon Architects in Downtown Los Angeles and as a freelance graphic designer for a wide range of private clientele.
In his spare time, Alvin continues to develop design workshops for a multitude of colleges and professional organizations. Over the years, his fierce passion for integrating hand-drawn design with forward-leaning technology has led him to develop striking, tailored concepts for a diverse array of corporate, government and private clients.
From personal experience, he believes that emerging designers deserve access to the technology that will help them to develop their creative interests and approach projects critically. By integrating illustration, character and personality into each of his design projects, he hopes to inspire future designers to always improve and diversify their skill sets.
