While I grew up with solid interests in various art forms, my first love was Photography. I attended an arts high school for four years and in my senior year I took my first step in entering the artistic world by becoming an intern for a fine art photographer based out of New Haven, CT. I worked with him in his studio, editing film, assisting on off-site jobs, and helping with processing black and white film. There was also a commercial side to his business that I enjoyed very much. It was reassuring to see a passionate worker both thrive in a community through his personal work, and his commercial projects.
Since then I have gone on to intern with a Graphic Design, and started to branch out into more collaborative areas like the Wedding Industry. There is something wonderful about the wedding industry because there is so much creative talent and genius that come together for one special event. While working with a graphic designer, event planner, and wedding boutique owner I once again expanded my knowledge of merging business and artistic quality.
Other great accomplishments were being the Official Photographer for the New Haven Jazz Festival, traveling to Nicaragua as part of an Art Delegation to restore a cultural center's mural, studying abroad in Ireland for four months in business management and entrepreneurship, and working in a successful, fast-paced national photography studio. I am always striving to learn more, to experience new things, and to constantly be creative. My favorite work has always been photography though, and the endless possibilities in working on your own personal goals, to collaborations with dozens of other creative people.
