Designer for a young contemporary sportswear collection and private label accounts. Experience designing denim, knits and woven tops, dresses and bottoms with extensive knowledge of fabrics, trims, fits, washes, dye techniques, graphic design and printing techniques. Responsible for initial concepts through execution of the line, including research of current trends, forecasting colors, computer flat sketching, fabric sourcing, shopping and merchandising. Works closely with patternmaker and sample room to ensure samples and fits are completed in a timely manner for domestic development. Creation of detailed tech packs, sketches and specs for import development with follow up of all proto samples.

Design development for the ladies sportswear line for a well established young contemporary company. Involved from initial design concepts and trend direction, to proto stage, through salesman sample stage. Aided with design research, trend and color forecasting. Responsible for the coordination between the designers, corporate office, staff and overseas vendors. Ability to complete very detailed tech packs and sketches, with great follow-up skills. Knowledge of overseas communication and sourcing. Heavy concentration on the development of the graphic T line.

Experience with missy, petite and large size sportswear. Involved in the design process from beginning to end; including shopping, sketching freehand and on computer, tear sheets, presentation boards, research and color forecasting. Creation and follow-up of monthly line for Gloria Lance and private labels. Organize and attend all fittings and follow-up with patternmakers. Oversee completion of line sheets and samples for buyers’ packages. Liaison between designer, fabric and trim buyers, owner and patternmaking/ sample dept.

Manufacturer of junior/ children’s sportswear and dresses. Responsible for scheduled completion of garment pre-production. Duties include delegation and organization of all import orders. Follow up with multiple fittings, approvals, problems, and changes through production. Oversee completion of patterns, specs, yield and tech packs.
