Industrial Designer
Darvier
Jan 2014 - Jul 2020 (6 years 6 months)
Designing custom jewelry for clients includes getting to know the clients, their needs and their personal style. From there I sketch up ideas with clients on the spot using pencil and paper. Once I've developed an idea that the clients absolutely love, I either build a CAD model of the design for milling or 3D printing and lost wax casting, or I work with a wax carver to clearly communicate the design for accurate reproduction in hand carved wax. It just depends on which method the design lends itself to.
The custom designs include everything from slight evolutions to completely new designs from the ground up, from the classically beautiful, to the fun, wild and out there, depending on the clients' desires.
