With a background of twelve years in the Furniture and Millwork industry there are few scenarios I haven’t yet experienced on the shop floor. Or a design challenge that I haven’t enjoyed solving with a client. Having successfully fulfilled roles from shop carpenter to designer to business owner. I feel I have a grasp on the ins-and-outs the industry, yet am still motivated to stay current and learn new manufacturing technologies.
Stepping into a management role has become a goal for me again. I feel a strong background fabricating is a requirement before moving into a leadership position in the building industry. I've tried to position myself to have hands on experience and material knowledge. I look forward to the challenge of managing a team again.
Knowing your team and setting them up for success. Is the only way to maximize there potential output. I feel over the years I've learned to communicate well with shop staff. No two employee are the same therefore can't be successfully managed without some personal interaction. Listening to their input and actually implementing what is sound truly keeps employees engaged. Being able to stand back and see their collaborative efforts truly inspires innovation.
Looking for to becoming apart of your team.
