DEAR SIR OR MADAME,
My name is Adam Davis and I have a BFA in Graphic and Interactive Design from Temple University / Tyler School of Art and 8 years relevant experience as an Art Director, Graphic Designer and Copywriter. For the past eight years, I utilized my design and advertising skills working in studio and corporate design agencies. In addition to agency employment, I have had much experience in the freelance section working for recruitment agencies. My time working for the recruitment agencies has given me the unique experience of fulfilling a myriad of design roles that range from production, packaging, print, digital design, retail, sports advertising, pharmaceutical advertising, flash animation, copy writing, catalog design, brochures, corporate identity, Powerpoint, iPad applications, action script, Html, UX applications, website and mobile application design. I feel that this is a major asset due to the fact that I worked my way up from the bottom to achieving the role of a senior art director in the corporate sector and advancing to the co-owner of a successful, local, self-started advertising company.
I am extremely skilled in utilizing all of the main design programs including; Photoshop,
Illustrator, InDesign, Flash, Quark, Dreamweaver, Html, Action Script, After Effects,
Acrobat, Excel, Word, Microsoft Office Suite, and Powerpoint. This experience is
reflected in my online portfolio which showcases my roles described above.
The link to my online portfolio is: www.coroflot.com/adavisgraphics.
My goal as an Art Director, Graphic Designer and Copywriter is to consistently and efficiently complete all tasks and assignments in a timely manner, exceeding the expectations of the client, as well as, the employer. I have made a career out of solving the problems clients present by using innovative, cutting edge, and highly clever solutions that not only accomplish the initial task, but also remain within the ridged, budget restraints that often haunt
creative thinkers.
I strive to combine edgy concepts with traditional design standards to develop a unique style of creativity that will capture the target demographics focus. I pride myself with constantly remaining in touch with the ever changing current social trends in order to achieve the highest level of innovative advertising and marketing. Design excellence revolves around teamwork. Collaborating ideas with fellow designers and utilizing different viewpoints
is the key to creating art that reaches the eyes and minds of the public. Creative design is a democracy, not a dictatorship.
I am available immediately to start the position and have reliable transportation to ensure daily punctuality, as well as, late night availability if the need should arise. I hope to speak with you soon regarding any questions you may have concerning my qualifications for the design position.
