I decided to test this product in several diverse markets throughout the USA with exposure to 250,000 students. The product launch was a success. High school seniors fell in love with our Limited Edition "Class of 2013" watch featuring the number 13 located in the twelve o' clock position. This idea gained immediate attention and recognition by both students and school administrators. I had positioned and marketed the product as a "Commitment to Graduate" watch. When someone would ask a class of 2013 senior student why the watch featured the number 13 rather than a twelve, they would simple tell them that 13 represents their high school graduation year and their "commitment to graduate" on time in 2013. I had success selling nearly 25,000 watches to reps who positioned the watches to enhance their most lucrative graduation (Cap and Gown) package sales.
