I’m a recent graduate from the University of Cincinnati’s Industrial Design program. I’m looking for an opportunity in a design consultancy. I’ve had some notable success in packaging design, and I’d like to get into the fields of either medical design or consumer electronics.
I've had internships with Hasbro and Swimways, and done studios with Boeing, Hill-Rom, and UC Biomedical. I was a finalist in an international design packaging competition for LEGO and was able to travel Europe as part of the competition. Though I was by myself for six weeks, I was able to make my way around because I'm a strong and independent person, and knowing a small amount of German and French didn't hurt either.
If you spend any amount of time with me you will likely learn that I'm heavily into creating for the computer game 'The Sims 2'. This entails building 3D models, drawing textures, and various amounts of coding to produce unique game behaviors. After discovering that I could design digital assets for the game, I worked hard on building my online reputation as a quality creator. To date, my 150+ projects have been downloaded over 2 million times.
I'm actively looking for advice and leads about design consultancy positions. If you have any information that could help me in my job search, please either send me a message here, or send me an email at april.ansley@live.com
Any and all tips are greatly appreciated! Thanks!
