The final project of our second year. We were tasked with designing and prototyping, using any means, a Luminaire.
This project was to encourage us to be innovative within the lighting field, to re-use existing technology and, if possible, to improve upon it.
I chose a more physical and aesthetic way of improving my chosen lighting, focusing on the containers and base.
Materials used in this were Mahogany and Teak, both in the base. One species of wood would have been used, but lack of materials hampered my progress.
Due to time management issues, i did not have time to get my product working, as i was using a CNC machine to fully realise my design.
All 3D modelling was done on Autodesk Inventor. Rendering achieved using KeyShot 4.
