Aluminate
In this project we were tasked with constructing a product that comprised of one extrusion (mostly).
Aluminate's main body section are made up from Aluminium extrusions, and then used to house LED strips, and attached together by various Detent and Pivot hinges.
Originally designed as a desk lamp, the longest section has 360 degree rotation along the y-axis and 180 degrees along the x-axis, and each Detent hinge provides 180 degrees up/ down movement.
Controlled by human-capacitance, each section can be dimmed or turned off completely by touching the outer edge.
