My name is Zach Drake and as a Mechanical Engineering and Product Design major from Lehigh University, I have been able to explore my other interests such as Woodworking, Rock Climbing, 3D Modeling, Architecture, Cooking, Entrepreneurship, and even Harmonica.
I am studied as an Engineer and Designer for a variety of reasons. The most important being diversity in my skills. As a jack of all trades, I love being able to converse with people about their passions. It has lead to my love of people and extroverted nature. I have always pursued what I love and I know that I can translate that to be successful in any given environment.
I have been lucky enough to be able to pursue each of these through various projects. Opportunities including the Pedestrian Bridge Project for the Lehigh Valley, an apprenticeship with a master craftsman in woodworking, a project manager for a Graphic Design agency, the implementation of a CNC router at a manufacturing plant. I was also sponsored to start my own business and engineer my own product called the Brush Clutch, which was a device made to aid the commercial painter in becoming more efficient in their work. These are but just a few of my experiences.
