The Library of Babel by Jorges Borges, is a fictional short story about a man, who lives in
a library, that is infinitely large. This world is constructed of octagons, infinities, social strife,
and nonsense. The man recaps his life, living in the library, searching for his place among
the insanity that comes with trying to come to terms with something so inconceivable.
My interpretation of the story is that this is a metaphor for the universe, but this universe, constructed entirely on information, and the medium that holds it, could only consist in a computer. My imagery comes from my interpretation of how I perceive the universe, and the very apparent insidious veil that is every present in this fictional world not visible to those who live within it.
