Designer Lisa Silveira loves to travel and explore the world. She has studied in Florence, Italy where she also collaborated with a Florentine fashion designer. Living abroad out of a suitcase inspired her to start creating garments that are convertible in unexpected ways. Wandering Muse embodies that sense of freedom.

I have taught Apparel Construction, Industrial Machine Sewing, Dresses, Casual Jackets, Sewing Knits, and Activewear. Currently I am focusing on more advanced and specialty classes like Lingerie, Underwear Pattern & Construction, Bra Pattern & Construction, Swimwear, Sergery, Machine Knitting for Fashion Design, Advanced Machine Knitting, Mending, and Hand Embellished Knits.

Creating technical flats in Adobe Illustrator, updating flats, updating print designs, updating print colors, creating and updating visual line plans.

Designing, pattern making, prototyping, fitting, grading, production sewing and finishing.

I worked closely with the designer to understand her brand and the way small, family owned Italian fashion businesses work. Activities included everything from sketching designs for the Patrizia Fusi brand, cutting multi-layers of fabric for final production garments, sewing prototypes and attending textile expos, while learning the specific apparel industry terms in Italian.

Primarily I was a sales associate, but also spent time doing customer service work. I was actively involved in the visual merchandising for the store.

Set up the retail portion of the business. Client measurements and consultations, prototype sewing, cutting for prototype and final client garments.

Creating material requests in PDM, following up on lab dips and testing results, logging results in Excel and PDM and tracking through approved stage, communicating with factories, shipping swatches and samples overseas. Occasionally assisting other members of the golf apparel team with various tasks.

Created and organized a comprehensive fabric and trim library for all of Nike Golf.
