Designing has always been an interest even before I knew such a profession existed. While other kids were playing with toys, I was purposely breaking mine to find out how they worked. I don’t remember a time when I didn’t draw on a daily basis and I still sketch a few pages every day. During high school I would come home draw for about 2 hours, do some homework, while thinking about what I was going to draw tomorrow. Now that I’m bit older I’ve shifted my interest into the 3D software world, sometimes going on and building concepts just for fun. At my internship I would spend about 8 hours on CAD (SolidWorks specifically), go home, eat and do more CAD.
I became a car nut at an early age, which provided me with the bulk of the subject matter that I drew. After a year of college I purchased my first car, I didn’t need it to get to school but I figured I could kill some spare time by slowly taking it apart and fixing it over the last 3 years.
Now that I have obtained a Degree in Industrial design I can finally go pro with the stuff I always did anyway.
