To whom it concerns,
I believe I can be a valuable addition to your Design team. I recently graduated
from the University of Washington’s Industrial Design program, and have
ample experience using the Adobe suite of products as well as 3D software
like Solidworks, Keyshot, Rhino, etc. to communicate ideas. I've been an avid
sewist for 6 years, and have made a variety of garments and bags in my free
time.
Here's a few of my accomplishments:
-Worked as an Intern at True North Gear/Dragonwear FR, a company
specializing in fire resistant gear and apparel. There, I designed a new
backpack for wildland firefighters that entered into production and will be for
sale soon. I designed, sketched, prototyped, patterned, and sewed the factory
sample independently, and was happy to see not many elements changed
once it reached final production.
-Worked as an Intern at Walnut & Oak, a furniture startup in Seattle
specializing in handbuilt hardwood furniture. There, I designed and 3D
modeled various stools, chairs, and tables to add to the product like. Mainly
we used Fusion 360 and keyshot for the product concepts.
As you can tell from the above, I am comfortable working in teams and
delivering on time. I hope you consider me for this position. Below are some
links you can check out to see examples of my work.
