Over the last two and a half years of my studies have been specifically associated to product design and how this links with engineering practice. I have also gained valuable hands on experience using the most up to date workshop machinery and CAD packages i.e. Solidworks.I have strong customer service and business skills developed via an ILM First Line Management [level 3 course], sales retail experience [BP petrol station].

During a three – month work placement with Racupack I produced a report with three international students outlining how the company could make improvements towards the CPIII food packaging machines ( Value Analysis/ Value Analysis Engineering ). I produced implementable proposals via Solid works; this was the main system the company used and I liaised with Assembly Line Workers and Mechanical Engineers. I am a hardworking and hands on individual and strived to bring the project towards a point that the company could look into the proposals the team came up with. This is evident in the statement attached by the company’s project manager.
