Art Director- This was my own freelance company.
After moving from Texas to Colorado, I continued working for Sanders Wingo Advertising on a freelance basis. SW wanted me to continue producing creative and consulting for Petro Truck Stops. Petro was one of my biggest clients while working at SW. I also took on small local Denver Metro area clients. I also did freelance work for Caboose Hobbies. Aug. 2008 - Feb. 2012

Art Director- September 1999- June 2005
Duties: Overseeing and directing designers, artists, web/interactive media designers, producers and writers as a creative team. Creating advertising, concepts and identities for clients. Art directing photography, video, illustration, design, layout, typesetting, production and press proofing. Working with account executives, creative directors and designers to produce highly creative advertising and advertising materials. Dealing with suppliers to finalize elements of the finished art, such as service bureaus, typesetters, strippers, sign companies and printers to make sure the client gets the best product possible. I did creative work for both the Austin office and the El Paso office.

Graphic Designer- March 1995 - September 1999
Duties: Design, layout, typesetting, production, some illustration, photo shoots and press proofing. Working with writers and art directors to achieve the goal of finished art. Producing color comps and camera-ready art in both electronic and traditional methods. Dealing with suppliers to finalize elements of the finished art, such as film service bureaus, typesetters, and printers.

Pre-press Department-
Duties: Pre-press production, design, typesetting, layout. Troubleshooting and getting client files ready for imaging on film. Imaging files on film. Photoshop retouching and specifying photos for the scanning operator and camera department. Working with film strippers and pressmen.

Duties: Design, layout, typesetting, production/paste-up, illustration and press proofing. Working with account executives and art directors to achieve the goal of finished art. Dealing with suppliers to finalize elements of the finished art, such as film service bureaus, typesetters, strippers and printers.
