Sarah Arvizu-Barcelo

Responsibilities included communicating and designing within a team for non-profit organizations. Clients included Diablo Trust and the NAU Theatre Department.

I created marketing such as posters, plasmas, table tents, stickers, business cards, and handouts for Health Promotion information and events at NAU. My work was primarily targeted towards the college students, sometimes faculty as well. The position required communicating and collaborating with other Health Promotion workers to provide them designs for content about self-care, health, resources, events, and health education. I worked independently as the graphic designer and often partnered with other departments on and off campus to provide the designs they needed.

VC 101 was a visual communication course for incoming college students who planned on majoring in graphic design or motion design. My responsibilities included, grading discussion posts and assignments for thirty Students under the direction of Professor Monica Saaty. I also provided design critique to the students on their larger projects throughout the semester to steer them in the right direction and to help them learn more about effective graphic design.
