• Initiated and facilitated mind mapping sessions with internal stake holders from manufacturing, installation, purchasing, accounting and technical development to identify internal challenges with the existing products and create solutions. Worked with the engineering team to keep a customer-centric design while maintaining simplicity and cost.
• Created new framework for project decision making by providing training on Lean Product Development (LPD), project economics, small batch methodology, risk management and information theory.
• Reduced preparation time for quotes by 88% and eliminated the need for an additional staff member by implementing SolidWorks EPDM as a CAD management solution. This also allowed the product development team to utilize the same system and avoid over writes and file sharing confusion in their data management.
• Deployed ethnographic and contextual customer research to target critical problems with the existing product and prioritize customer needs to prevent repeating issues in the new product.
