Pushpi Bagchi

Hello! I'm a communication designer and educator.

I currently live in Colombo, Sri Lanka where I work as full time design faculty at the Academy of Design, University of Northumbria. I’m interested in using design as a tool to initiate social and cultural dialogue; my MA thesis explored the significance of multilingualism in a globalising world and the need to preserve vernacular culture. My work involves experiments combining analogue techniques with digital media. I love colour, patterns, and whimsy.

In my spare time I plan elaborate travel itineraries and attempt to polish my culinary skills.
