My illustrations are predominately in one colour in order to draw the eye towards how figures are created through a merging of intricate textural shapes rather than colours.
I believe in creative innocence-- in creating art at the spur of the moment, without recourse to much planning. I think that if something is created spontaneously, it is immediate, fresh as well as vibrant. Once this spontaneous vigor fades, however, I also believe that the act of making art must also cease.
