The view from the editor
When you look at something that can be picked up, it states the objects name and notifies the player.
Items are stored in the inventory (an array) and can be seen when pressing 'I'.
A random amount of experience between a set range of values was chosen for the EXP.

UE4 C++: Inventory System

This project originally started as a test to see if I could make an inventory system. Later on I also added functionality for EXP to be implemented as well. This project was made with the help of a tutorial.

So this ended up becoming the ground workings for an RPG/Adventure game. Things like quests and shops and money could easily be added in as well. Projects like these are always inspiring!
