Michael Mackin

I am looking for a career in the games industry, preferably within the programming side as this is what I am most interested in. While in University I am learning Java and will be learning C++ next semester. But my course is in Games Development and I am aware of all the basics to do with the development and continued support of any game, I am also informed about the other aspects of game development such as the art/level design and animation. I have became familiar with Unity and 3D Max.

I was very lucky in the timing as I was one of the few students in Northern Ireland to take on the new A-Level of Software Systems Development, this got me introduced to coding before coming to University thus preparing me for the course I have chosen and future life. I was always into computers and technology but I was instantly excited and involved in coding. I am now fluent in both Java, C# and SQL with knowledge of both Eclipse and Visual Studio. I have made a simple game using Java in my AS and then proceeded to make a user interface experience with a database behind it in A2.
