Orlando Sentinel Article - Veteran's Library Display
This Orlando Sentinel article is one of my most memorable pieces. Writing it had a lasting impact on me. I was assigned to write a feature about an exhibit in the UCF library that showcased war artifacts.
Rather than talk about the artifacts themselves, I sought out the story behind a single item belonging to a soldier from Orlando who was killed in action. I went to his mother's house and interviewed his family.
While this was originally written for the Central Florida Future, my professor submitted it to the Orlando Sentinel and they published it.
