Camp Counselor
North Carolina State University
Jun 2010 - Jul 2013 (3 years 1 month)
Every year, NC State has a Design Camp they hold in conjunction with the Contemporary Art Museum (CAM) in Raleigh. Students apply each semester to be camp counselors, and I have been chosen to be an overnight counselor every year. Responsibilities include mentoring and overseeing groups of 16 high school students along with two other counselors. My last two years in this position, I also was a senior counselor, in charge of the other two counselors as well.
I absolutely loved working here. Often campers would later become students here, and I would remain a resource for them, if they ever needed it.
