About
My name is Luke Semple and I am a BSc (Hons) Product Design Technology student studying at the University of the West of England.
I immerse myself in every design project, undertaking focused research in order to achieve a wide and clear understanding of all the pertinent factors. I get great satisfaction from completing each project from start to finish. I reflect upon my practice in order to extend my knowledge and aspire to be one of the leading Product Designers in the design industry.
My skill set is broad and I feel comfortable in any design situation. I look forward to a long career in design and i am confident I can achieve this. -

Product Design StudentUniversity of the West of EnglandBristol, United KingdomSep 2012 - Present (12 years 4 months)I have developed a range of skills through my University course and I have undertaken many modules which include Adobe Suite, Solidworks, Rhino 5.0, Keyshot, Sketching, Modelling, Co-Design projects and I have taken part in many projects where I have worked as part of a team and in some cases leading the team.
Currently I am looking for new opportunities beginning July 2015, I am willing to relocate and am very excited to be starting this new adventure. -
Product Design DirectorTeePee ClothingSep 2011 - Apr 2012 (7 months)Here I worked for my company called TeePee Clothing which I and colleagues from school had set up through the Young Enterprise Scheme. My role was to analyse and create designs for our t-shirts and assess which ones were suitable to be sold on the clothing market.

Design EngineerRWE npowerSep 2010 - May 2011 (8 months)Through the Engineering Enterprise Scheme Wales (EESW) me and my team were given a brief by RWE npower to find a solution to bird guano from building up on the off-shore wind farms off the coast of North Wales. After a years hard work my team and I had developed a solution which used both a high frequency amplifier and an electric hand rail which was an effective deterrent for the birds. This design led my team and I to win the competition and then we were invited to Celtic Manor to present our solution further.
