Design Engineer
RWE npower
Sep 2010 - May 2011 (8 months)
Through the Engineering Enterprise Scheme Wales (EESW) me and my team were given a brief by RWE npower to find a solution to bird guano from building up on the off-shore wind farms off the coast of North Wales. After a years hard work my team and I had developed a solution which used both a high frequency amplifier and an electric hand rail which was an effective deterrent for the birds. This design led my team and I to win the competition and then we were invited to Celtic Manor to present our solution further.
