Liam Cobb

I am currently training in the British Army. This involves a large commitment of time, alongside my studies as well as working in very stressful and adverse situations as part of an efficient team. As an officer cadet, having to make split second decisions which could me the success or failure of the team. On training exercises, ensuring you have the right kit available when needed and not carrying more necessary is essential. Working as an officer cadet involves teamwork even when sleep, food and water deprived in very physically and mentally challenging situations.

In my role as technical assistant I was responsible for reacting to a brief from companies and producing designs for them incorporating our product into theirs. I was also responsible to testing the prototypes to ensure that the relevant safety standards are met. Results are then analysed and presented to clients as part of a business case.

Responsible for cash handling and helping to maintain efficient running of daily trade. Moving to a supervisor role as of summer 2014 and as such now responsible for people management, breaks and shift allocations, as well as large amounts cash handling and resolving customer issues and complaints.
