Bay Area-based artist, Lauren Yurkovich moved to California from Saudi Arabia in 2001. Her international upbringing lends a unique perspective to her work that makes it accessible to a wide range of audiences. As a result, her art has been showcased in group and solo exhibitions across the world. She mixes traditional hand drawn techniques with bold digital color to create stunning high contrast illustrations that intertwine nature and the human form. This blending of classic and modern styles is evident in her decidedly unique take on the classic rock poster. As a poster artist, Lauren has collaborated with an array of companies, artists, and organizations creating everything from billboards to skateboards. Furthermore, Lauren is also a credentialed visual arts educator who trains K-12 students as well as adults, offers professional development for educators and artists alike, and builds rigorous multi-tiered visual arts programs. She holds a Bachelors of Fine Arts, specializing in Editorial Illustration, from California College of the Arts and a K-12 art credential from San Jose State University.
