I am a graduate of The College for Creative Studies (C.C.S.) and earned a Bachelors degree in Fine Arts, with a major in product/industrial design. C.C.S. greatly improved my artistic knowledge and abilities through the highly experienced instructors. I refined my ability to create whatever I could imagine and learned to take criticism as a tool to make my work better. C.C.S. greatly prepared me for the journey to come.
Since graduation, I have worked mainly as a graphic designer. I started working at a small graphic design firm, Ruvela, which focused on grocery stores and interior design. From Ruvela, I took away the ability to merge my creativity with other artists. There I worked with interior designers, and architects, and I learned how design can become reality. My role was to take the clients ideas and wants and make them a reality through 3D models and graphic layouts. We had many clients, but most notably was Spartan Foods, where we completely re-imagined the entire interior as a template for all Spartan Foods stores.
After Ruvela, I began a freelance career as a graphic designer and focused more on company logo design. I have worked with many types of clients including: Mr. Roof, Made in Detroit, Prestige Imports, Auto USA and several more small t-shirt companies. Turning input from a client into a reality takes patience and dedication to see a project through to the end.
I am currently working at Beaumont Hospital in patient registration, which has greatly improved my communication ability ten-fold. On a daily basis I talk with hundreds of people face to face. I have used this as an opportunity to practice and refine my ability to communicate and listen to others.
I do not know what the future holds, but I do know that I will continue to express my creativity through any means possible and I will always use my experiences to better myself and my abilities.
