Kris Saintsing

As a Producer & Post-Production Supervisor for Lionsgate Entertainment, Warner Bros. Television, and ABC-Disney, Kris Saintsing has been producing images professionally for well over a decade. He is currently a resident artist at The Hive Gallery & Studios on historic Gallery Row in Downtown L.A. where his unique style of pop-surrealist digital illustration is a featured part of the permanent exhibition.

Saintsing draws heavily on animation, science fiction, and fantasy iconography in order to explore myriad psychological issues: anxiety, depression, fear, bliss, mania, obsession, and trauma. He paints in rich, bold color and uses large-form, multi-layer, “cel-style” printing to further explore the animation aesthetic. This also affords him the ability to experiment with the interplay of shadows and colored light within each piece to effectively illustrate these themes.

Via his design company, Big Ancient Studios, Saintsing provides services for a wide range of clients, producing album covers, logos, fashion, and concept art. Drawing on his years as a film & television producer, he specializes in providing an open, collaborative process and a high-grade, sophisticated final product.
