I am costume designer looking to find gainful employment in the theater arts. I adore live theater, music, networking and collaborating with other creative minds. I look at a challenge as a learning opportunity and I seek them out on a daily basis. I'm easy going and love to laugh. I take direction well, but am also able to use my intuition to move forward with a project on my own. I am a fan of many fashion eras including the Victorian era, the 1920's, and WWII era. I love the history behind how clothing developed and why fashions changed the way they did. I particularly love the story of undergarments and have constructed a couple of corsets, bloomers and chemises in my studies and productions.
I have an AS in Fashion Design, with vocational certificates in Historical Costume and Fashion Assistant. I have worked part-time for The Container Store, whose company concept is based in storage and organization, for 4+ years learning to master every game of Tetris the real world has thrown at me. I am efficient in Word and Excel, as well as research via internet and hard copy publications.
