The top and bottom graphics are backlit material, face-mounted to smoked plexiglass. Due to limited space, I tried to keep the typography simple and elegant, and the word count low. Each panel has the "theme" of that side of the "kiosk" in large type. Next in the type hierarchy is a short sentence about the theme, and third, captions for the images.
Abraham Lincoln: Self-Made in America is a traveling, self-contained exhibit funded by the National Endowment for the Humanities. The artifacts are replicas, and are fixed inside the center portion of each "kiosk." Originally this exhibit was to travel for two years, but due to popularity, it has now been on the road for four years.
This graphics for this exhibit were produced for the Abraham Lincoln Presidential Library Foundation and the Abraham Lincoln Presidential Library and Museum.
