Helped transform BCBSRI from a staid, safe brand, into a modern, nimble and energetic brand, by developing new standards for all marketing materials and advertising campaigns, both B2C and B2B. Notable projects included revamping Choices magazine, a 32-page award-winning quarterly member publication focused on improving our member’s health. Responsible for creating and enforcing brand standards for the corporation, including all print materials, annual reports, direct mail, corporate website and web advertising. Managed a team of four print designers, two print production specialists and a project manager. For a time also in charge of Web team consisting of three designers, which meant coordinating work with IT and understanding the complexities of a dated Content Management System. Also instrumental in presenting campaign concepts to executives along with account managers. Worked with other managers to balance workload and ensure delivery of work on. Worked directly with department VP to design sensitive materials to be used by our CEO and Board of Directors.
