John Thomas

My name is John Thomas and I am a graphic designer who works and lives in Johannesburg, South Africa. I have been working as a graphic designer for more then six years now. I paint and experiment with art and illustration in my spare time. I have a big passion for music and I love metal, rock, classic rock, indie music from folk to the more electric stuff, jazz and ska music. I’m constantly looking for new and interesting music that opens my mind to new possibilities.

I’m definitely a problem-solver and I like to take on any problem and come up with new and innovative ideas. I think this trait has helped me much as a graphic designer as all briefs come in as problems that need to be solved. I like to conceptualise and come up with creative ideas for different things.

I also love reading, especially crime novels as well as biographies and about history. I enjoy reading history books as this makes me think about how events that have happened in the past have had an impact on life today. I wonder sometimes if things would have happened differently, would it have had a drastic impact on life today.
