As a one-person operation, I continue to benefit clients by conceptualizing, producing, and delivering a wide range of services and media.
I listen to clients and seek to understand their expectations . I advise them on the best path forward, and prepare them for the project's journey.
Over the last 6 years, I have helped countless individuals and organizations achieve their goals. With my primary client, Checkmate Consulting Group, I designed several templates that can be easily modified to suit the promotional needs of political candidates. I designed palm cards for physical distribution, mailers for home delivery, social media images for digital campaigns, and directories of elected officials for state-wide distribution and reference.
In addition to political work, I helped a local, technical day college transform itself into a full-time university complete with an on-campus residence hall and doctorate programs. With project after project that I completed, from event mailers to course directories, from new department logos to billboards, New England Institute of Technology achieved its goal. It became a competitive university beyond trade certifications. Its students were graduating with bachelor's, master's, and doctorate degrees.

Senior Graphic Designer
Pawtucket, RI
2010 - 2014 (4 years)
Within the Global Print Design and Brand Creative Studios divisions, I directed and trained a rotating staff of five designers to create branded product guides (instruction books) for a global, $10 million product line.
I overhauled Hasbro's product guide design process, developing my team into desktop publishers. Using the new workflow, my team was able to cut production time in half between first and second generations of product guides (six month span).
Leading my team, we set a new standard of versatility in printed assets to reduce repetitive tasks. For example, we designed parts lists that could easily transition into replacement parts order forms.

Adjunct Professor
Providence, RI
Aug 2008 - Dec 2008 (4 months)
Teaching the course Digital Publishing (Communications 434), I demonstrated the functions of Adobe InDesign while sharing industry experiences to prepare 18 undergraduate students for the reality of professional graphic design careers.
I presented the power of typography and negative space, driving the students to distill their designs down to the most focused, meaningful messages.
I balanced lessons on aesthetic best practices with lessons on technical best practices. As important as visual continuity was to page layout, keyboard shortcuts were important to production.
