Jesse Shaw is a designer that specializes in the building and construction of furniture. He has studied in the field for over eight years beginning his training at the renowned North Bennet Street school in his hometown of Boston Massachusetts. Shaw headed up north continuing his education at Center for Furniture Craftsmanship in Rockport Maine. After a nine month comprehensive course he was awarded a year long fellowship. Here he honed his skills learning from master craftsmanship from all around the world who came to teach at the school. Jesse worked on commission pieces as well as for a cabinetmaker when he decided to attend Graduate school at the Savannah College of Art and Design. As a graduate student Shaw participated in design shows such as Neo Con, The High Point Market, Architectural Digest, The Philadelphia Museum of Arts and the Milan Furnishings show. He has displayed work and been honored in design contests at the Wharton Eshrick Museum, Design Museum Boston, the pinnacle awards and has a table in the Savannah College of Art and Design permanent collection. After obtaining his Masters in Furniture Design at SCAD Jesse moved to Atlanta to join the design staff at Currey and Company. He now works there as the Senior Furniture Designer managing over one hundred and sixty unique furniture and accessory pieces a year.
