Jesse Shaw

This piece is a functional sculptural table built during my thesis as a graduate student in 2011. The table is made out of cherry and Peruvian walnut. The cherry legs were formed using a unorthodox process of steam bending that I developed while studying at the Center for Furniture craftsmanship in Rockport ME. The table now belongs in the permanent collection at the Savannah College of Art & Design.
