Living and working in New York City for the past eight years has afforded me the opportunity to hone my skills as a designer and professional of the fashion industry. I’ve gained knowledge working primarily with knit accessories specifically hats, scarves and gloves. Aside from knit items I have also designed woven clothing and accessories for men, women and children giving me a diverse skill set and enabling me to design for a variety of categories. I am now in search of a design position, in Los Angeles, that fosters my creativity and allows me to use my experience in New York City as a catalyst for growth.
After graduating with a B.A. in Fashion Merchandising from Howard University and working in the fashion industry for a few years, I pursued my second degree in Fashion design at The Fashion Institute of Technology. After graduation, I obtained a design position with Accessory Network Group, and experienced a lot of growth and success there. My current position with Wiesner Products has given me the opportunity to work with contemporary brands such as Calvin Klein, Nicole Miller, Kooba and Theodora and Callum.
I thrive in a fast pace, creative environment and work well with a team as well as individually. I have excellent design and computer skills and knowledge of garment construction and fit. I would
love the opportunity to come meet you and discuss opportunities. I look forward to hearing from you.
