I grew up in Covington, Indiana which just borders Illinois. After High School I attended the Herron School of Art in Indianapolis. I majored in Painting and minored in Drawing and received a BA in Fine Art. I have been a graphic designer since 1992. I work as a full-time graphic designer for the University of Illinois Assembly Hall where I design ads, programs, posters, signs and brochures to help promote entertainment events including concerts and family shows at the building.
My husband John and I have been married since 1989, and live on a 20-acre farm in Georgetown, IL that keeps us busy. John likes to raise miniature Herefords, and I enjoy showing and training my appaloosa horses. I also like to collecting Breyer horses and Painted Ponies, music and antiques.
2007 - Won Best of Show with my design and painted horse in the Trail of Painted Ponies "America the Beautiful" National Art Contest. It was made into a figurine by the company in 2008. Since then I have had 8 designs made into figurines.
