Planning out the distribution of fiber optic cable. We made sure that the points of light were equally distributed and that each LED was equally represented in each square.
Starting to poke holes in the foam core.
Holes have been poked, LED's have been soldered and attached to the board.
The first of four quadrants is finished. Each quadrant has 4 LED's in it.
An up close look at the attachment of the fiber optic cables to the LED's.
Artistic photo of an almost finished star ceiling.

Star Ceiling

The star ceiling is a form of ceiling lighting made using a 4'x8' foam core board, fiber optic cable, programmable LED's, and an arduino.

There are 512 fiber topic cables divided equally among 16 LED lights. Light runs from the LED, along the cable, and to the surface of the board.
