Hello! Thank you for taking the time to stop by my page!
My name is Heather Berg and I'm a motivated, hard working, passionate girl, ready to get out into the Apparel Industry and work, work, work!
I am excited to say that I'll be starting my final year this Fall at the University of Wisconsin - Stout in the Apparel Design and Development Program. I've had a wonderful experience at Stout so far and am looking forward to a challenging but rewarding senior year. I am also involved in the Silhouettes Fashion Show Organization on campus where I am currently the Vice President of External Affairs.
My experience in the Apparel Industry includes working as a Product Development Intern for Garnet Hill in Franconia, NH where I gained knowledge and skills in technical design, garment fit and product development.
This summer, I am currently working at Huebsch Services in Eau Claire, WI as a Product Development Intern where I am gaining knowledge in functional uniform apparel and overseas vendor communications.
I also work part time as a sales associate at Express. I feel that my experience at Express is valuable because I am able to see apparel from a customer's point of view. I understand what brings them in, what they like to buy, what they don't and how the clothes fit.
After graduation, (May 2015) I am open to pursuing a career in Textile Design, Apparel Design, Technical Design or Product Development. I have a love for apparel and I believe my time at school and intern experiences have prepared me to be successful in all aspects of the apparel industry because I am able to understand the full scope of the garment process from conception to a final product.
Feel free to contact me at bergh2950@my.uwstout.edu with any questions, comments, job offers, etc.
Thanks and have a good day!
