Hello, I am Gabriel!
Designer, sculptor, 3D modeler, character creator, conceptual artist.
I was born in the Brazilian town of Rio do Sul in 1991. I have always been a gamer and pursued to work in the video game industry since the first time I played the amazing Chrono Cross, for the PlayStation one. Without many opportunities of studying this field in my hometown, I was able to travel to Canada at the age of 15, to study one year of high school in Peterborough, Ontario. There I had computer graphic classes and I loved it.
So, when back to Brazil, I studied hard to be accepted to the Animation Design course at UFSC (Universidade Federal de Santa Catarina, Florianópolis). Luckily I did and started my classes in 2009, studying everything about Design, from color theory, semiotics and typography to human anatomy and animation in 2D and 3D.
Throughout my higher education, I have been working hard to specialize myself in character creation. I was quite pleased with the education I have been provided. Eventually, I have had the opportunity of studying abroad once more, and with that, I went to Portugal to refine my 3D modelling skills by studying traditional sculpture and figure drawing. I have made many contacts and friends in Portugal, which lead me to end up in the Czech Republic. I can't stress enough how much I love this country, the architecture and art are everywhere and it inspires me in so many ways.
In December, 2013 I went back to Brazil, presented my thesis and graduated. After one month with my family in Brazil, I came back to the Czech Republic, where I am currently having drawing classes, studying all sorts of softwares, working to enhance my skills and to be involved with the game Industry. (currently studying unreal engine 4)
That is it about me, I sincerely hope you enjoy my portfolio.
Right now, I am available for free lance and to relocate myself to anywhere in the planet to work with 3D art.
