I have been designing for over eight years, and loving every minute of it! I am currently freelancing as well as working for an upcycling accessories company called EVENodd Creative. I have concentrated heavily on design for apparel. I think it is an extremely intriguing medium. I find it interesting to see what people wear and understand that as designers we are trend setters.
I recently have moved back to SoCal where my love for apparel design first started. At my previous jobs I designed for a variety of clients including Disney, Delias, Run DMC, Sesame Street, Universal Studios and many more. I also created graphics for two in-house lines; a children’s line called Inky Dink and an adult brand, Public Domain. In addition to apparel graphics I also designed catalogs, promotions, direct mailers and email blasts. I juggled multiple projects simultaneously in order to meet all deadlines. Many times I followed a project from concept through design and all the way to press checks. In addition to design, I also created color separations for the t-shirt artwork and reviewed tech packs to ensure that all aspects of the product were precise. I believe that having this knowledge makes me a better designer. By knowing the process of how things are printed it makes me design more efficiently and with realistic expectations.
I have an eye for spotting new trends; as well as coming up with fresh and innovative designs of my own. I love working as a designer especially in the fashion/accessory industry. It is constantly changing based on what the new trend is or what is hot for the next season. I enjoy working in this fast paced and ever-changing market. I thrive under pressure and I am prepared to complete all necessary tasks in order to continue making your company a success. You can find samples of my design work on my website www.elisereneemakesthings.com. Please contact me if you need any additional information from me. I look forward to hearing from you soon.
