Oi - Assistive Plate

Oi is a plate that allows people with the use of only one hand to eat independently.

Many people use a fork to transfer food onto their spoon more efficiently. This is not possible, however, for people who only have the use of one hand. Oi is a plate that has been designed to solve this problem.

An extended curvature on one side of the plate pushes the food onto the spoon, allowing the user to use just one hand to eat their food. A counterweight on the opposite side of the base prevents the plate from tipping over when force is applied to one side during scooping. Oi was designed to support independence and to preserve dignity.
